Automation/Robotics Systems and Special Purpose Machines
Location:
Midlands

Designer and manufacturer of special purpose machines, especially mechanical automation systems and robotically based machines. This company employs a specialist team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers to design and manufacture bespoke capital equipment for a range of industries including food processing, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and automotive. It also holds an established market position as an experienced machine integrator. Turnover is £2M. Comes with a strong management team.

Mechanical Facilities Management
Location: East

A well-established mechanical engineering services firm is for sale. It provides a wide range of fabrication, machining, repair and installation services to the food and process industries in
Eastern England. Services include an unusually diverse range of skills included (coded) pressure welding, machining assembly, and fitting. About one third of turnover is the direct provision of mechanical maintenance to clients’ factories via permanent on-site teams. The balance is comprised of equipment repairs or renewals from the base workshop where the offices are also located on a leasehold site. It operates only as a direct supplier to the end-users, and most of its business is repeat. It is increasingly being used by its customers as an outsourced mechanical services provider, and there is good potential to develop this into a wider engineering FM provider including other engineering supplies.

The sale is due to the planned retirement of its owner-manager. However, good succession planning means a full day-today management team remains in place post-sale. Turnover is £1.2M on which healthy profits are made. There is good scope for expansion even with existing customers who want to increase their outsourcing. Price £250K for the leasehold operation.   SOLD
